Suspected gunman Larry Bollin, 27, of Grimes County has been arrested and booked into there Brazos County Jail after police and witnesses say he shot and killed one person and wounded five others at the Kent Moore Cabinets manufacturing site on Thursday where it is believed he also worked. Bryan is about an hour and a half northwest of Houston and sits next to College Station where Texas A&M university is located.
According to police, Bollin began shooting at 2:30 p.m. then left the scene. About an hour later Bollin was stopped and while being arrested shot and killed a Texas State Trooper, who’s name has not been released yet, and then fled that scene. At 4:20 p.m. Bollins was finally taken into custody according to the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Highway Patrol Division.
Kent Moore Cabinets released a statement last night saying they are “devastated” by the shooting. “Our hearts go out to the families and the loved ones of those affected,” the company said in a statement.
So far, police have not given a motive but according to witnesses at Kent Moore, Bollin was a disgruntled worker who had a disagreement with a coworker.
