Yesterday’s mayoral runoff election in Forth Worth has ended with 37-year old Mattie Parker winning.  Initially there were 10 candidates competing for then Mayor Betsy Price’s job after she said she was retiring.  The runoff election was between Deborah Peoples and Mattie Parker as they were the top two candidates with the most votes.

Mayor-Elect Parker said in comments, “I will continue to fight to give more communities a seat at the table, expand prosperity to all our neighborhoods, and elect leaders who truly represent all the people.”
