Multiple Tornados in Texas Sunday As Severe Storm Moves Towards Alabama And Georgia

Storm chasers were busy Sunday posting tornado updates across North Central Texas with at least seven touching down.  There were no reports of significant damage as most of the tornados occurred in rural areas and outside of small towns.  According to the National Weather Service (NWS) and storm chasers, tornados happened in Quanah, Texas, two in Vernon, Chillicothe, Cromwell, Goldwaite, Clarendon and Lockett.

The weather system causing the tornados is moving east and is expected to cause tornados and damage in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia with he NWS putting up weather alerts across the Mississippi Valley.
